Four Ways to Get There

Cars on a downtown Atlanta street near Georgia Aquarium

Downtown Atlanta is straightforward to drive into, and the aquarium runs its own parking deck at 357 Luckie Street NW, with around 1,600 spaces across covered and rooftop levels.

Three things to know before you set off. The deck is cashless. There is a 6 ft 8 in height limit at every entrance, so anything tall will not clear it. And prepaid spaces can be booked online, but a prepaid space does not allow re-entry once you have driven out.

Accessible spaces sit on Level 3. For GPS, use the Luckie Street address for the deck rather than the Baker Street one, which brings you to the front door.

Travel Tips for Your Visit

Arrive early. Mornings are calmer, and the low-sensory hour runs until 10 AM.

Entry stops half an hour before closing, so a late arrival is a short visit.

Use the Luckie Street address for the deck, Baker Street for the entrance.

Bring a refillable water bottle. Outside food and drink are not allowed.

Reserve presentation seats early in the visit rather than at showtime.

Leaving to eat nearby is easy, just get your ticket stamped on the way out.

FAQs About Getting to Georgia Aquarium

Where is Georgia Aquarium located?

At 225 Baker Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313. It sits on Pemberton Place in downtown Atlanta, just north of Centennial Olympic Park, alongside World of Coca-Cola and the Center for Civil and Human Rights.

Which MARTA station is closest?

SEC District Station on the Blue and Green lines, roughly a 10 to 15 minute walk. It was renamed from GWCC/CNN Center in December 2025, so some maps still show the old name. Civic Center and Peachtree Center on the Red and Gold lines are a similar walk.

How do I get there from the airport?

Hartsfield-Jackson sits at the southern end of the Red and Gold lines, so you can stay on one train the whole way. Ride north to Peachtree Center and walk from there. No transfer is needed, which makes it a genuinely easy trip with bags.

Is there parking at the aquarium?

Yes, a roughly 1,600-space deck at 357 Luckie Street NW with covered and rooftop levels. It is cashless and has a 6 ft 8 in height limit at every entrance. Accessible spaces are on Level 3.

Can I prepay for parking?

Prepaid spaces can be booked online, and it is worth knowing that a prepaid space does not permit re-entry. If you plan to drive out and come back during your visit, prepaying is the wrong choice.

Which bus route serves the aquarium?

MARTA Route 32, running from Civic Center and Five Points stations. It is a handy way to cover the last leg if your rail line does not stop close to Pemberton Place.

Can I take a taxi or rideshare?

Yes. Enter 225 Baker Street NW in the app and you will be dropped near the Pemberton Place entrance rather than at the parking deck on Luckie Street.
